The tax values observed on this web site are based on the appraised property "market value(s)" as of Jan 1, as provided by the Cameron Central Appraisal District. Property tax market value as defined by the Texas State Comptroller is the price at which a property could be transferred for cash or its equivalent under prevailing market condition if:
Consequently, these values do not reflect any applicable exemptions which might be applied to the value of the observed property in question. Moreover, the rates reflected are only the rates that were approved by the applicable taxing entities in which a property is located and only for the individual tax year being observed.
The tax for each entity and the "Total True Tax" does not represent the "actual" property tax and is strictly an estimate of taxes without consideration of exemptions. If you are the property owner and wish to know the "Actual" tax, please refer to your "Original Tax Statement" which was mailed to you or a copy of which can be located above in the tab labeled "Original Oct Tax Statement".
